I struggle with feeling pretty and comparing myself to other people. I think “why can’t I look like that” and “why can’t I be thinner”. But you know what, I just have to remind myself that I AM beautiful, just the way I am. I don’t have to be tan. I don’t have to be stick-thin. My hair doesn’t have to be super long. I can just be my own awesome self. And so can you.
Once you embrace yourself just as you are right now, you will feel a release. Like “ah, I don’t have to be perfect. It’s ok if I’m just me”.
Anytime you guys are feeling down about yourselves and beating yourself up about how you look (or whatever), come talk to me. Everyone feels that way sometimes, even celebrities. So know that what you’re about to share with me, I’ve probably felt before and can relate. So let’s talk when that happens, ok?

I'm not a counselor, I don't have it all together, I'm just a 19 year old girl who's been there.
I have two blogs, ‘brother-named-wheat’ (my personal one) and ‘nolongerscars’ (this one). I may reply to your messages on either :)
Submit what helps you to keep from cutting and feel free to send me a message if you need to talk.
